Actors who failed to leave a mark in Bollywood despite having a ‘Filmy family’

It isn’t a myth that nepotism exists in Bollywood. All those having a connection in Bollywood have a slightly better luck than those who enter Bollywood with sheer talent. However, only by having a connection in Bollywood doesn’t make one a star. Yes, they definitely get an opportunity easily but without hard work and talent making a place is Bollywood is highly impossible. Star kids like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Sonam Kapoor, had a bonus of being born in a ‘filmy family’ but it is their acting skills which helped them to gain fame. There are also actors who had the benefit to prove themselves, their star parents/siblings even tried their best to promote them, but these celebs failed to leave a mark because of the lack of talent.

1. Uday Chopra 

Being the son of the greatest Bollywood director gave Uday Chopra many chances to prove himself in Bollywood. Except for the Dhoom series, Uday failed to make it big in Bollywood
2. Adhyayan Suman

Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman made his Bollywood debut in 2008 with the film Haal-E-Dil. Adhyayan made headlines for him being in a relationship with Kangana Ranaut, however, he failed to gain fame for his acting

3. Fardeen Khan

Veteran actor Firoz Khan’s son Fardeen Khan gained quite a good hype during his starting few years in the industry. However, even after having a strong Bollywood connection, Fardeen failed to have a lengthy career in the industry. 

4. Esha Deol

Unlike her step-brothers Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol, Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s daughter couldn’t survive for long in Bollywood

5. Aarya Babbar

Raj Babbar’s son Aarya Babbar made quite a decent start in Bollywood. However, he failed to get a lead role despite appearing in multiple films. 

6. Tusshar Kapoor

Except for his role in the Golmaal series, Tusshar’s acting skills were never appreciated. 

7. Sasha Agha 

Daughter of squash player Rehmat Khan and singer Salma Agha, Sasha appeared in Aditya Chopra’s Aurangzeb. However, hardly anyone recognises her

8. Shamita Shetty

Being the younger sister of successful actress Shilpa Shetty, Shamita did get some good project in her bag during the start of her career. However, her dull acting couldn’t take her long in Bollywood

9. Tanishaa Mukerji

Kajol’s younger sister Tanishaa had a great Bollywood connection, but she couldn’t match her sister Kajol in terms of acting.
