Janhvi, Khushi, and Mr. Boney Kapoor were present at the 65th National Film Awards on 3rd May in Delhi to receive National Award for the Best Actress from President Ram Nath Kovind on behalf of Sridevi, who was honored posthumously for her phenomenal performance in the revenge-thriller Mom. Janhvi, who is the elder daughter of Sridevi, looked ethereal and like a spitting image of her mother during the award ceremony.
The day was already special as the late actress was honored by such a prestigious award for her acting that still remains fresh in our hearts. But, what made it more special was that Janhvi wore a saree from her mother Sridevi’s personal collection for the occasion, and she reminded each and every one of us of our Chandni.
There were many emotional pictures shared by the media yesterday in which the Kapoor family were seen with teary eyes while remembering Sridevi on her day of honor. However, there was this particular image of Janhvi and her father Boney Kapoor from the ceremony that went viral on the Internet within a few minutes by Janhvi and Sridevi’s fan clubs. This affectionate picture of Janhvi-Boney will definitely remind you of Sridevi.

After the award ceremony, a visibly emotional Boney Kapoor told India Today Television that it was an extremely proud moment, but unfortunately, it came after Sridevi’s demise.
“Definitely, the family is proud and elated with the highest honor that the country bestows on artists, actors. And this is the first National Award that she has won in her 50-year career. Sadly, it has come after she has left us. That’s something we miss and we will always remain indebted to the jury, to the government of India, to the I and B [Information and Broadcasting] Ministry,” he said.
