MUMBAI, India, 28th August, 2026: Hrehaan Roshan, the 20-year-old elder son of Indian actor Hrithik Roshan and entrepreneur Sussanne Khan, has made his debut as an independent artist with his first English single titled ‘This Heavenly Place’. He is forging his path in music as a singer, songwriter and guitarist.
While his grandfather Rakesh Roshan and father Hrithik Roshan are celebrated as stalwarts of Indian cinema, music has always been the bedrock of the Roshan legacy. Hrehaan, the great-grandson of maestro Roshan and grand-nephew of Rajesh Roshan, developed an early inclination towards music as a teenager. He mastered the guitar and began songwriting as a young teen and has been honing his skills by pursuing formal education in music. Hrehaan earned a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston,Massachusetts and is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in music. With the launch of his debut single, Hrehaan stands to be the first singer-songwriter and guitarist from the Roshan lineage. Taking after his great-grandfather, the legendary Roshan, who was known simply by his first name, Hrehaan has adopted the mononym ‘hrehaan’ as his stage name.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, India, Hrehaan’s music is rooted in both Hindi film music and Western rock and alternative. His debut track, ‘This Heavenly Place’, is a 3:36 minute track about young love. Written, composed and sung by Hrehaan himself, the music video features a black-and-white, grainy look, showcasing him expressing himself with a guitar. The song’s release also marks Hrehaan’s social media debut, as he shared his music with the world on Instagram, which has already crossed 1,00,000 views on the social media platform.
