The popular Singer and Performer has begun filming his first web series, titled First Copy. This marks Munawar’s exciting debut as an actor, taking him beyond the world of stand-up comedy.
Though details about the show and Munawar’s character are still under wraps, the current photo he shared on social media is enough to raise the excitement level. Munawar shared the BTS image from the set on social media, captioning it “New Journey 🎬.”
Earlier, the teaser of the web show was released during Eid to make the fans’ celebration even more special. The teaser instantly transports us back to the year 1999 when DVDs were a big trend. While movies hit theaters on Fridays, many eagerly created a ‘first copy’ of the film on DVD on Thursdays before the official release. Munawar Faruqui is impressive in the teaser as an actor, portraying a grey character from the world of piracy.
