Movie Review By RATAN SRIVASTAVA : Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha

Ajay Devgn delivers a commendable performance, bringing depth and subtlety to his character, convincingly portraying a man released after two decades in prison. Tabu, as expected, shines in her role, though her screen time is disappointingly limited. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee M Manjrekar are adequate, with Shantanu handling challenging scenes well, while Saiee performs competently. The supporting cast, including Jimmy Shergill and Jay Upadhyay, are dependable but underutilized.

Technical Aspects:

M M Kreem’s music, though soulful, fails to leave a lasting impression, with only ‘Tu’ standing out for its picturization and because of the singers Sukhvinder Singh and Javed Ali. Sudheer Palsane’s cinematography is neat, and the VFX by Raj VFX Pvt Ltd is appealing. The production design by Sunil Babu and Vaishnavi Reddy comes across as somewhat theatrical. Abbas Ali Moghul’s action sequences are effective but not overly gory, fitting the film’s tone. However, the pacing suffers due to slow editing by Praveen Kathikuloth, which further drags the narrative.

Conclusion:

“Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha” struggles with a weak story and predictable climax, making it a sluggish experience despite strong performances. At the box office, it is unlikely to make a significant impact, marking a low point for Ajay Devgn.
