End of an Era: Manoj Kumar Laid to Rest with State Honours as Bollywood Legends Gather to Bid Farewell

The curtains fell on a golden chapter of Indian cinema as veteran actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away on April 4, 2025. A towering figure in the world of Hindi films and patriotism-driven storytelling, Manoj Kumar was honored with a state funeral today, April 5, in Mumbai.

As the tricolor draped his mortal remains, signifying a nation’s gratitude, several stalwarts of the Indian film industry arrived at the Pawan Hans Crematorium to pay their final respects to the Padma Shri awardee.

Among the mourners were legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan. The emotional weight of the moment was evident as generations of film personalities united in grief and reverence.

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was seen engaging in a heartfelt moment with his son, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, both present to honor the man whose films stirred national pride and cinematic excellence.
