Headline Veteran Actor Manoj Kumar Passes Away at 87 in Mumbai

Legendary actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar passed away at the age of 87 in Mumbai. According to news agency ANI, he breathed his last at 4:03 AM at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Friday morning.

Medical reports confirm that the cause of his demise was cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a severe heart attack. Additionally, Manoj Kumar had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis over the past few months, which further contributed to his deteriorating health. He was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025, for treatment but succumbed to his illness.

Manoj Kumar, renowned for his patriotic roles in films like Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Kranti, left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. His contributions as an actor and filmmaker earned him immense respect, including the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Shri.

The news of his passing has left the film industry and his admirers in deep mourning.
