It’s a lively, enjoyable flick that keeps you engaged, leaning on the stellar performances of three powerhouse actresses: Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. A solid entertainer perfect for a night out with friends and, of course, your own lively crew.

In “Crew,” our leading ladies take charge, with Tabu effortlessly embodying her mature character and Kareena Kapoor Khan exuding glamour and allure. However, Kriti Sanon struggles to leave a lasting impression, with a role that feels interchangeable. While the trio’s chemistry feels authentic, the plot suffers from predictability, recycling tired tropes of heist films.

The background music adds depth to the narrative, complementing the film’s energetic pace. Rajesh A Krishnan’s directorial debut is commendable, though the screenplay lacks originality, feeling like a collage of clichés from past heist movies. It’s disappointing that the film fails to innovate in an era ripe for fresh storytelling.

Despite its flaws, “Crew” offers moments of entertainment, particularly for fans of Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan. It’s a passable one-time watch, best enjoyed with friends for its camaraderie and occasional bursts of humor. However, if you’re seeking groundbreaking cinema, you may want to explore other options.

In some ways, “Crew” feels like a desi iteration of “Powerpuff Girls,” with its trio of strong-willed women navigating through challenges. While it falls short of breaking new ground, it still offers a glimpse into the potential of female-led narratives in Bollywood.
