The recently concluded WAVES Summit witnessed a powerful convergence of global and Indian voices from the worlds of film, animation, gaming, VFX, and immersive storytelling. Organised by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, NFDC, FICCI, along with the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of India, the event covered a wide range of discussions, focusing on crucial themes such as artificial intelligence in media and entertainment, the globalisation of media, the future of content creation, and the profound impact of emerging technologies and positioned itself as a landmark initiative to celebrate and elevate India’s creative and cultural industries.
Among the notable attendees was Oscar-acclaimed filmmaker Indira Mukherjee, whose debut feature was in contention for the Oscars. Sharing her experience at WAVES, she said:
