Jyotica Tangri has given some iconic songs like Mungda, Pallo Latke, and Surmedani but her latest song is unlike all others. She has given voice to the latest track from the film ‘Jatt nu Chudail ‘ and we can’t help but groove to the quirky vibes of the song. In the exclusive chat, we asked her all about her latest song and she spilled some untold secrets.
‘Haye Boo’ is gaining momentum amongst music fans as the song brings the Punjabi beats and the classic banter between the women fighting over a man. Jyotica reveals, “The song is about two ladies, fighting for their husband, they both are constantly accusing each other of wooing their husband and proving that the other one is a vamp, they are cursing each other and taking out their frustrations in the whole song”. She pointed out that it’s a Punjabi folklore where it is like face-offs, she seems to enjoy the overall vibe and said, “it’s so much fun to watch them fight while they sing and dance”.
The singer has given voice to some of the iconic songs from Bollywood, we asked her what makes this one hit different and she sportingly said, “I have sung songs like Pallo Latke, Mungda, Ishq de Fanniyar, O’Meri Laila, Shubh Din and all these are loved by people, but none of these songs portray my desi Punjabi girl accent, whereas in ‘Haye Boo’ what you hear is the real Punjaban singing her heart out, that’s what makes it different” she concluded.
Jyotica will be coming with a new song for Mahashivratri very soon and the fans can expect a new look from the singer for this special song. She is excited about this as it will be a release from her own in-house label JT Music.
